Tipper is a five month old puppy who lost her home and found her way to Coastal to help find a home that will care for her forever. She is a German Shepherd Mix, possibly Collie, but we’re not sure.
What we do know is that she is a very sweet girl who came to us just in time to begin learning proper canine behavior, how to introduce herself properly to friends, how to play with friends, how to win friends and impress people. She went right away into a foster home where she could get just what a puppy like her needed, a canine mentor. She has two mentors now, an older 6 year old GSD and a 2 year old GSD, and she is learning very well.
She is ready for her forever home, one who has experience with German Shepherds and can continue the training that she has already begun. Her new family should have an understanding the energy that the young pups have and the need for both physical exercise and, even more importantly, mental stimulation. Their brains work overtime, and a bored puppy can be a very destructive puppy.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.
Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next!
