Facts about Samantha

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair

  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10754685-16-0299

Samantha was pregnant when she came to Kitty City. Shortly after having her kittens, she contracted a virus which settled in her eyes. After a couple months of treatment by our vet, Samantha was returned to Kitty City. As a result of her ordeal, Samantha lost quite a bit of her vision. This has resulted in her cautious and protective demeanor when she is approached. She is very playful and loves her toys and scratching posts. Samantha will require much patience and love and she must be an only pet.

About Kato Foundation's Kitty City NM

About Our Shelter...

The KATO Foundation originated as a New Mexico state wide vehicle to provide humane care for cats in a no-kill environment while waiting for adoption. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, donations to KATO Foundation's Kitty City may be tax deductible.

Kitty City was conceived as a cage less, safe, indoor-outdoor environment for our cats. We are a no-kill facility where every feline guest is examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Starting May of 2010 all Kitty City cats that are taken to our vet to be spayed or neutered are also micro chipped.

Kitty City residents enjoy a full range of indoor and outdoor play areas to explore. This also allows for visitors to interact with our cats rather than viewing them in a cage, and it allows the visitors to gain a better idea of each cat's personality. We feel this interaction does reduce the number of returned adoptions.
