Mason's Story...
Mason is a 15lb, 9MO Schnauzer/terrier mix.

Mason was found in a parking lot in TX with his sister as a young puppy. A great woman took them both in and tried very hard to care for them. After a while it was just too much for her with her own 3 dogs, so she reached out to rescues to help her find them new homes. She was unable to find a rescue in TX to help her so she had no choice but to bring them to a shelter. Our rescue heard about these babies the morning she was going to take them to a shelter. We found an immediate foster for them, and then were able to bring them to CO! They are now in CO and ready to find their forever homes.

Mason is the scruffiest little love muffin. The foster said he loves to give kisses and snuggle with her. He is also great with other dogs and instigates play. He really has zero behavioral issues, and since he grew up with other dogs and people he is well socialized. The foster said he seems to be potty trained and is a master at the doggy door already. He did have an accident when it was cold and rainy, since he isn't used to the cold and didn't wanna go outside, but can you blame him?
We do believe that Mason would do great with kids or a family with another dog. He is just such a sweet and easy dog that he would truly do well in most family situations. That being said, Mason is still a puppy, so he will need a home where he can play and act like a puppy. Mason is the perfect size to take on long walks or hikes in the warm season (or even the cold seasons with his fluffy coat).
Whoever adopts Mason will be one lucky family! He brings such happiness and smiles to everybody who meets him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Boulder Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
