Cougar's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Cougar's Story...
Female Bengal, about 5-7 years old. Picked up as a stray. Extremely friendly but will need an experienced cat owner or someone willing to learn about the somewhat demanding personality of the Bengal. They are intelligent, extremely vocal and athletic, tend to tolerate dogs better than other cats, and will make you a wonderful companion.

Her foster family has dubbed her "Cougar" for now. She loves to explore high places, has learned to open cabinet doors and will sleep by your side or sit in your lap as you work at your desk. Cougar loves to be pet, not held, and although she will complain loudly about it, is tolerant of being picked up and handled.

Although she has never been agressive toward humans, her foster family recommends she not be in a family with small children and cautions against being placed in a home with other cats! Adoption fee of $295.00 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, FIV/FELV test and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cougar, a Mount Pleasant Bengal cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bengal for sale in Mount Pleasant, or seeking a Bengal cat from a breeder in Mount Pleasant.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Pleasant already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Pleasant breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bengal breeders who help with Bengal rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Pleasant paves the way for another one to be saved.
