Red Roan Remi's Story...
Red Roan Remi came from very humble beginnings and is so very thankful. She has a heart full of love and gratitude that she was given a chance at a real life, not the one she was born into when oppression and poverty were at the forefront of it all. She was born into an atmosphere where her people had long given up on life an fleas, mange, and starvation were all she knew. Until that day that will always remain magical in her memory, the day she came to Sweetpups. She was scared and confused, never having ridden in a car before, never having a bath (and she had several that day), getting her injured hip mended, food every day, a clean bed every night.........even children to walk her and play with her. What more could she ever want? Just one more thing. She needs her own special family to share her love with. Those beautiful expressive eyes tell it all. Yes, she came from very humble beginnings and will remain thankful for a chance at life forever, humble in spirit and oh so graceful. She is a constant reminder of the beauty of a dog. Just wait until you meet her!
Red Roan Remi is only 17 pounds, 6 months old as of Nov 1, up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Heartworm negative and on prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red Roan Remi, a Vidor Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Vidor, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Vidor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vidor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vidor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vidor paves the way for another one to be saved.
