Gracie's Story...
Hi, my name is Gracie but my nickname is Legs.. that's because, weighing only about 11 lbs, I'm all legs! I'm a super friendly, happy girl and like everyone including the other dogs in my foster home. I love treats and will take them very gently. I'm crate trained and sleep quietly through the night. My foster mom isn't ready to say i'm house trained since I'm kind of new here. I think I am since I haven't had any accidents. If you're looking for a loving, fun companion maybe I'm your girl. Email info@habitat4paws.org for more on how to make cute little me all yours!

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page on our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a McKinney Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
