River's Story...
River is a 2-year-old hound m ix. She is bashful when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly. As you can see, she has made friends with another foster, Larry, who is also for adoption. The adoption fee is $250. If you'd like more information on this dog, please contact us today!

* It is our goal to ensure that all our animals are a good fit for their new family. Because of this, it is Paws Up 4 Rescue's policy to do home visits before an adoption. Because puppies must be able to return to our vet for additional vetting after the adoption is finalized we do not adopt out of state. No exceptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

River, a joliet Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in joliet, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
