Sami is a "young-acting" 13-year-old, 60-lb Australian Shepherd-Husky-Border mix.  He's a beautiful tan color with blue and hazel eyes.  Although he's an older dog (and sleeps many hours a day), often you would never know it.  He can be energetic and playful....he's always been strong and agile.  And he's always been a totally healthy dog with a sweet disposition.  He lives indoors (doesn’t get on sofas, chairs, or beds), but enjoys walks and being outside whenever possible on a leash.

Sami would do well with older children and anybody who would give him a lot of attention.  He loves people!  He has successfully lived with cats, but most likely would prefer to be the only dog in the house.  He is neutered and current on all of his vaccinations and has been seen at Haw Creek Animal Hospital in Asheville for many years.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
