Libby's Story...
Meet Libby a very shy little kitty looking to find a responsible, loving and permanent home. Due to Libby's extreme shyness she will need a home with no children. Libby is super sweet but will need somebody patient who will give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. Libby seems to be okay with other cats and could possibly live with a very cat savvy dog that will basically ignore her. Libby would enjoy a nice quiet hiding spot where she can retreat until she feels safe to come out and start exploring. Once she feels comfortable she will be more playful and will want to curl up in your lap. If you are interested in this shy gal, please fill out an application at the front desk.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
