Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Hershel. I am a young (about 1 ½ years old), larger BC and full of energy. I love to play with my foster siblings but it does take me a little while to get used to new dogs. So if you have other dogs in your house and you want to adopt me, it is really important that we all meet first! I can be a little suspicious of new people too, so please be sure to take some time to get to know me so that I can warm up to you. Once I know you, I will be your best friend and loving companion forever! I love to go for walks with my humans but sometimes I get concerned if other dogs get too close. My foster dad says this is called “leash reactivity.” I don’t know about that… I just know that whenever we walk and there are other dogs, he is constantly calling my name and giving me treats as long as I look at him and not the other dogs. I do like those treats but I also want to keep my eye on those other dogs, so I’m still working hard to focus on him and those delicious treats. My foster mom and dad say that I have to go to someone who will keep working with me on this. I really like to learn new things, especially because I get treats when I do it right! I know how to sit, come, stay, shake, use the doggie door, and jump in the car for a ride. I really want a family of my own that I can love and that will love me back!
