Two 14 year old males cats, short hair domestic breed, in good health need a new home.
Their mom and dad are now very allergic to them, so sad.

Tazi, black with a white chest blaze is the older of the two siblings, sweet, loves to be petted.
Navi, all black, except a tiny bit of white on his stomach, is a bit shyer and will gradually warm up to folks.

Once feral, they were lovingly rescued when they were about three months old and been with Annie ever since.

Not as active as they once were, they still get around well.

They need a home where they can explore and sit in the sun. No dogs in the family, and no little children, please. They are fine around older children. Please know that they are totally indoor cats.

They are healthy and all the necessary shots are up to date. Vet is Dr. Dean at Bennett Creek Vet Clinic on RT 355 (Frederick Road) in Clarksburg. Copies of vet info will be provided when the cats go to their new home.

About Animal Welfare League-Montgomery County

About Our Shelter...

As many of you may already know, we have a mission: To enhance the lives of Montgomery County Maryland residents and animals through programs directed at education, adoption, animal shelter, and low cost spay/neuter. The AWLMC is committed to ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Montgomery County Maryland. With this in mind, we are partnering with the county shelter to help save the most at-risk animals. Currently, we are only working with cats. We hope to be able to add a dog program soon.

In order to save as many cats as possible, we have opened a no-kill shelter in Gaithersburg. We need your help in the form of direct financial donations and by volunteering your time. Our organization is strong and full of highly dedicated volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, professions and abilities. We are working together to save the lives of cats and kittens, to find them loving, forever homes and to have them spay/neutered. All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County.

Current adoption fees: $75 for adults (cats over 1 year old) and kittens.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. We currently accept only check or cash.

Potential adopters are required to fill out an application and to be interviewed by an AWLMC adoption counselor.

We can request home visits or vet checks prior to approving anyone for adoption.
