About Me: My name is Mikko. I am a Rottweiler Mix, 5 years old and weigh around 80 pounds. Yes, I know I am a big boy but it's because my heart is so heavy with all the love I have for the people around me. I am not sure how I ended up here because my foster mom keeps telling me that I am the best dog she has ever known. I have so much fun here. I live with two kids and we run and play outside all day. I am really gentle with the them, but I can't resist giving them big wet kisses and they giggle really hard. I love when we roll around in the grass together and play football. Playing football is my favorite thing to do. Well, that and cuddling. I walk well on a leash and don't pull unless I see something really interesting. I do OK in a crate if my people are nearby, but I don't need to be crated because I'm very well-behaved! I usually just relax and wait patiently for my people to come home. Did I mention I love being around my people??
I'm careful to listen to them when they give me a command. I know sit, stay, come, shake, down and I would never think of having an accident in the house.
My foster mom keeps telling me that someone wonderful is going to bring me to my forever home and you know what? I think she's right!

About Twin Cities Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we arrange a meet and greet. Cats and small animals can be adopted and go home at the time of the meet and greet after the adoption agreement is complete and adoption fee collected (which is variable based on animal type, etc). For dogs, we complete home visits and then finalize the adoption.
