Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted:

This kitten will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our cats or dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

As the runt of the litter, Mayflower is always assumed to be the baby everyone takes care of. But spend two minutes with this feisty little fella and she’ll quickly set the record straight. She loves to play with her siblings and can more than hold her own in a fight. She’s the bravest of the bunch, always exploring new things and checking stuff out. In fact, while writing this bio her foster mom came back from a break to find her scrambling around on the keyboard, trying her paw at writing! It looked a little something like this: “qsio ;;;;;; euiwd39d.” Poor spelling and worse grammar aside, she is one smart cookie and will prove it to you time and again. If you thought you knew every nook and cranny of your house, this little rascal will put you in your place. She’s a great helper and will meow and wail until you find her in whatever tiny hideout she’s discovered. In fact, whenever she finds something new she likes to share it with her human for them to enjoy together. Above all, her favorite place to be is wherever you are and she can often be found draped across the lap of a beloved human. If you’re looking for this kind of companionship then Mayflower just might be the one for you.

The Thanksgiving litter is 10 weeks old. They were rescued from the shelter with their mom at 2 weeks old and have been showered with love and affection ever since. With the help of their foster mom and their biological mom they’ve matured into healthy, adorable little furballs who would be a great fit for almost any family! They like dogs, they like other cats, and they LOVE people. All they ask of their furever families is unconditional love, patience, and care. In return, you’ll get showered with devotion, kitten kisses and crazy high doses of cuteness.

Each one would be an amazing addition to your family so what are you waiting for? Apply ASAP to be considered! Their foster mom is a dedicated volunteer and can be contacted at with any further questions about this litter, kittens in general or our adoption process. Can’t choose? Try for two! Kittens are inherently social beings and do even better in homes where they have a feline friend to share their time with when you’re away-we prefer to place them in couples. The adoption fee is $150 per kitten, and all our kittens are spayed/neutered, shots current, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks, microchipped and FELV/AIDS negative.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.

About Doggie Protective Services-Corona

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal organization that has been in existence for the past 10 years. We do adoptions in No. CA, So. CA, AZ and Las Vegas. We began to take dogs from So. CA to other areas as our economy has deteriorated and yet our shelters are imploding with owner surrenders and stray dogs. We had to look outside our area as well as continue to diligently find fabulous homes within So. Ca.

We are a dedicated group of folks who are passionate about animals and committed to reducing the euthanasia rate in our local shelter. We can not save the world and we will not attempt to do so. We will simply take responsibility for those who cross our path. We pledge to make every effort to find as many FABULOUS homes as possible for our animals. We will not agree to place an animal if we do not believe it is the best match. Our dogs are our priority but we also believe that in order to place animals, the humans also have to be respected and we have to build relationships with them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do adoptions by appointment only once we have an approved application and an approved interview.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a 4 page application, an interview regarding home, people in the home, dog and whether the dog is a match, a meet and greet with family and dog and then a legally binding contract.
