Hello, my name is Tom and I am looking for a forever home to call my own. I am currently at the Chatham County Animal Shelter waiting to meet my new family! Tom is very sweet and loves people and other cats too. He would make a wonderful addition to any family.

Cat adoption fee is $90 and includes spay or neuter, vaccines, FIV/FeLV test. At the Chatham County Animal Control shelter it is first come first served, holds are not allowed, in person or over the phone. The shelter is open for adoptions from 11-4 Monday thru Friday and on Saturday from 8-12.

This animal is at the Chatham County Animal Shelter. It is listed as a courtesy and CARE is not responsible for any problems with the animal or with the adoption process.

The mission of Chatham Animal Rescue and Education (CARE) is to promote respect, understanding and compassionate care for all animals. CARE strives to teach by example, to be a resource to the community and local government, and to provide foster care for animals until they can be adopted into permanent homes.

Chatham Animal Rescue and Education was originally incorporated as Chatham Humane Society (CHS), in 1975. CARE is a 501(c)(3) organization, and thus qualified for deductible donations.

Our Adoption Process...

If you would like to meet a CARE foster animal, please complete an online application at www.chathamanimalrescue.org. Your application is then forwarded to the corresponding foster parent, who will contact you directly.
