You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!

If “CUDDLING” was an Olympic sport -
                      Emma would win “GOLD”

This sweet sweet girl has been through so much at such a young age. Thanks to a shelter in Ohio that got the ball rolling.  Saw that Emma need some help that they couldn't give, due to lack of funds. A wonderful volunteer  contacted 2nd Chance to see if we could help other wise she wouldn't be saved.  We sprung into action and drove the long trip to pick her up.  Once we met her we realized how special she is.  and we knew we had to do everything we could do to help.  She had to have spine surgery because she was having trouble walking.  Now she gets therapy and is doing great.  Thanks to 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue she is getting her 2nd Chance.  Now Emma is ready for her next journey which is to find that special Furever Home.

She loves nothing more than lying next to you while you watch TV. She has great house manners and is 100% comfortable with being in her crate, but would rather be part of the family. She is super quiet in the house, but will alert when strangers arrive.

Once you meet Emma you just can't help but fall in love with her. The way she will lean up against you and look at you with those great big sad eyes.  She knows how to work it.

Emma has an big heart, gentle soul and her devotion is bottomless!

Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to  families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.

A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

About 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is a foster network. Our goal is to find our precious little ones their "forever families" where they will live out the rest of their lives. Your dog is a part of your family and should be treated as such. You don't give away your children and neither should your loyal pet be dispensable!
All our dogs must be altered before adoption. Spay/Neuter is the only way to stop the senseless overpopulation we have now. Our hope is one day with education we will live in a society where shelters are not a necessity and no animal will die just for lack of space!
