My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This absolutely adorable little dog was found with two toes missing on each of his back feet and the tip of his tail gone as well. We have no idea what happened, but he spent quite a few weeks at the vets healing and having heart worm treatment. He is just precious and the sweetest little boy. We are not sure of what he is maybe a Norfolk terrier mix. He is approx 3 years old and 13 lbs..He gets on great with the other dogs and loves people. His face is just one of the cutest faces we have had on any dog. He loves to go on walks, hops in the car to go on rides, seems to be quite well house broken but not perfect and is an all around great dog. We would prefer him to have an all adult home.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. The application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law may add an additional cost.
