Kate's Story...
Hello potential adopters! My name is Kate. I am a 3-5 year old Shepherd/Terrier mix. Recently, I found myself in a high kill shelter, with only hours left to live. Scared and alone, I had completely shut down, but through it all, I remained a sweet, loving girl. I was rescued just in time, and I am now at a foster home in Salisbury, NC. I am house trained, crate trained, very people friendly, and dog and cat friendly. I had a skin infection when I came into the shelter, but it is looking much better now with proper nutrition and shelter. I am spayed, micro-chipped, heart-worm negative, and on heart-worm and flea prevention. Would you be interested in making me part of your family today?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kate, a Arlington Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
