Hemingway's Story...
My name is Hemingway and I'm a distinguished 16 year old Springer Spaniel. Through absolutely no fault of my own, I got ditched at the shelter. My foster mom can tell you that I'm an absolute gem. I'm sweet and quiet and love nothing more than snuggling up with my people. I get along fine with dogs and cats, though little puppies in my face isn't quite up my alley. I just walk away--been there done that! I've been around kids but since I'm older, I'd really like to live out my golden years in a quiet home. I like to move around and go on nice slow walks. I'm good on my leash so you'll enjoy walking me. I like to ride in the car, but I always get shotgun! I'm a bit hard of hearing and stiff in my back end which is just normal old guy stuff. Other than that, I'm in great shape. I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt me here: https://rescueofhope. com/adoption-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hemingway, a Grand Rapids English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Springer Spaniel for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
