Meet this handsome boy, Sarge. He's 2 to 3 years old. The Last Resort recently took him in. Sarge would escape from his home in NC and come to play with one of our fosters. His owners would eventually come pick Sarge up. Then one day they stopped coming and moved away. Sarge is dog friendly as long as the dogs are laid back & not constantly wanting to play. We don’t think Sarge would do very well with any livestock or cats. Older kids that can handle dog play and know how to behave around dogs are just fine. He is very vocal so no apartments or condos please, and he definitely needs a fenced in backyard that is secure. He is crate trained, housebroken and very food motivated. He was very thin but now has filled out really well now that he’s in foster care. He loves to snuggle. He can be your typical hard headed husky at times, so we are requiring an experienced adopter that is familiar with this breed or someone who has done ample research ((this is a must)). Sarge is neutered and up to date on his shots. Sarge is in a foster home in NC and can be transported to either NJ or MD for an approved adopter.
