Hi! Thanks for giving me some attention! I'd like you to know that I've already been spayed or neutered. At Animal Friends, dogs and cats also leave fully up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All I need now is to find someone who will love me. Please ask to meet with an adoption counselor, so we can be properly introduced and talk about what kind of pet you're looking for. We can discuss whether you're looking for a lap pet or a social butterfly, an 'only pet' or a furry 'sibling' for kids or other animals. Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together! *****************************************************

Sanford is a very special, young dog. He is discovering that being part of a loving household is great! He was rescued from a hoarding situation by our Humane Investigations team, and has worked hard to learn to trust people. During his time in a foster home, he has grown into a curious, playful dog. He likes playing with toys, having his belly rubbed, taking long walks and playing with his canine foster sisters. Sanford lived outside for much of his young life and would love a fenced yard where he could spend lots of time taking in outdoor sights and smells. He''s still learning how to live in a house, and does best when he can sit in an open crate to watch the action until he feels comfortable enough to join in.

He sleeps quietly in a crate, likes to ride in the car and is learning to walk nicely on leash. Since Sanford is still learning how to live inside, he can be easily startled by many normal household noises and activities. His family will need to be patient and continue to show him what it''s like to be a pet. Sanford is REQUIRED to go home with another energetic dog in his family that can show him the ropes, play with him and provide him companionship. Sanford''s family could include responsible children who are 12 years and older who are sensitive to his fearfulness. Sanford''s playful antics and happy tail wagging are the best reward for giving a sweet puppy the second chance he truly deserves. Sanford is currently living in a foster home, so contact our Adoption Team today to set up a meet-and-greet with him today!
