Daphne is very friendly and energetic - a bundle of fun. She already knows sit, lay down, and stay and is working on recall. She is easily crated and house-trained.

She have moments of excitable bounding play and needs direction on how to settle it down and do it nicely. She has an extreme want and desire for human affection but she is bigger than she realizes and gets really excited with her humans.

That being the case, she would do best with children that are 12+ years of age and can't be knocked down easily. Likewise, she'd do best with laid back, submissive dogs that are good with all types and playful. She could get along with well mannered cats who are not afraid of dogs, yet also not instigators.

Adopters (or fosters) can take advantage of free training through Frogs to Dogs - as she is currently home boarding with one of their trainers. She will need to continue to work on leash walking and introductions/socialization with dogs in new environments.

She is very treat and affection motivated, she just needs a willing training partner. Please consider this pleaser as your next companion!

Age: 4 y/o

Weight: 50 lbs

Temperament: Gets along with most dogs with proper introduction and better for older children due to size/energy

Training: Housetrained, crate-trained and basics (knows sit, lay down, stay)

Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines

About Doggie Harmony

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.

Doggie Harmony is an approved non-profit (501c3) organization, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you would like donate, you may direct funds to our address below, or to our PayPal account at

Come Meet Our Pets...

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, so watch our website for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested is, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in our adoptable pets are asked to complete an application that will allow us to assess whether a particular pet is good fit for their household and lifestyle. If it is, we will then bring the pet to their home for a meeting. If all goes well, the adoption contract is initiated and a fee is collected, but held for two weeks to ensure the adoption is a success. Our fees vary depending on each pet and what has been invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.
