Tater Tot's Story...
***Visit Tater Tot at PetSmart in Mansfield, OH***

Tater Tot was originally found as a neighborhood stray who was far too friendly to spend his life on the streets, especially as winter approached. We guess him to be around a year in age. Tater is playful, but he also enjoys a warm lap. He will need regular brushing to keep his long coat free of tangles. Being a young, frisky fella, he may be too rambunctious for young children. Tater Tot has been fostered with cat-friendly dogs without issue. Please consider opening your home & heart to Tater Tot.

MAWL's cats are spayed/neutered, leukemia/FIV-tested, dewormed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. The cats we offer for adoption are usually the offspring of feral cats or house cats that have been abandoned by their former owners. Unless otherwise noted, our cats are available to inside homes only. We prefer to adopt our animals to residents of Ohio. An adoption donation of $75.00 helps to cover the veterinary fees.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tater Tot, a Mansfield Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Mansfield, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Mansfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mansfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mansfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mansfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
