Maggie's Story...

"Hi my name is Maggie and I'm about 7-9 months old and I weigh almost 16 pounds. My foster mom thinks I'm a min pin cross. I'm shy at first but once I get to know you I'm loads of fun and have lots of puppy energy. I'm potty trained as well as crate trained. I get along with other dogs, as you can see and I walk well on leash. I've been around kids a little but they make me nervous so older kids would be preferable for me. I wish for a loving and active family. If you would like to make me part of your family, please fill out an application online at and include my name at the top."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Tijeras Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
