Buddy's Story...
My name is Buddy and I'm a 12 year old, 8 lb rat terrier mix. I don't know why my first mommy gave me away because I'm a very good boy. I like to go for walks and lay in the sun, and LOVE to ride in the car standing at the window. I get along fine with my foster moms dog and even her cat! It makes me very sad when I'm left behind when you go to work every day so I would love to have you home with me all day. (I do have to go outside a little more often than other dogs so someone who's around a lot would help with that, too.) However, I get through the day and I'm such a happy boy to see you when you get back. I have a playful side, too, and can make some pretty funny faces and noises while playing fiercely with my foster moms hands. If you're looking for your best Buddy, here I am. I'm waiting for you so come take me home!!

Please email us at kcpetfinder@hotmail.com to meet Buddy. His adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, neuter, and heartworm testing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Overland Park Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
