Major is really friendly with people and is curious about the world. He was found as a stray in Winchester Bay.
He has a skin condition that has been biopsied at the vet and we will update this page as soon as we get a diagnosis.
He doesn't have many manners (he jumps up, has no leash training, etc.) but holy moly is this guy friendly! He loves to give slobbery kisses and loves treats. He was tested with a cat and shows only curiosity-- no aggression. He may push the cat around a little and must be slowly introduced, but we believe he could be friends with a cat. He is extremely tense and on-guard around other dogs. Although he isn't necessarily aggressive, he definitely needs training with being around other dogs. Our trainer is working with him and we have high hopes that he can soon enjoy play time with other dogs. In the meantime, we recommend a home with no other dogs. If you have lots of experience with stubborn breeds, we do believe he could get used to and be friends with another dog in the home. He has not been tested with children, but because of how friendly he is with all people, we believe he would be good with kids.
He appears to be house trained. He is about 1-2 years old.
We will figure out his adoption fee based on whether or not his skin condition will be a big expense.
He is not neutered. Because of the popularity of his breed, either we will neuter him, or we will make sure that his adopters neuter him within 30 days.
