Precocious, nosey, inquisitive and loving life, Peluchi will make you smile. He loves to play and sticks his nose into everything, a true adventurer! Full of life energy and creativity, sweet Peluchi's curiosity is boundless at 18 months old. He is the first to come up to you and say hi. Peluchi loves dogs, feline-friendly, kid-friendly and is house trained; he even knows how to use the pet door. He is fair on leash (the force is strong with this one) - getting excited at birds, squirrels and other dogs along the way.

Peluchi must have a playmate because he could become destructive when bored or left alone (he removed some books which he then read to oblivion). Food left out on the counter? It must be for Peluchi. Crumbs on the floor? Those must be for Peluchi too. Dog treats on top of the fridge? Peluchi is capable of reaching the top of the refrigerator. He likes to patrol the yard and will bark at whatever doesn’t seem normal. One of his favorite places to lay is on the porch outside the backdoor where he can survey the area. His favorite position while doing so is on his side with legs extended as far as they will go. Due to his previous hygiene neglect, Peluchi isn't real keen on being brushed or combed (grooming), but it's improving with positive reinforcement.

Peluchi is now loving life with his foster family and looking for his forever home. You could be that special someone who teaches him all about the strong bond between a dog and his human. He hasn't been loved much but boy is he ready.

All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing.

Adoption Fee: $275
* Note to NW Adopters: The adoption fee does not include the cost of transport.

There are many things YOU can do to help us:
1. Adopt! If this Gentle Giant looks like the one for you, fill out an adoption application today!
2. Foster! This is a temporary commitment that gives all dogs in need the assured time to find the loving home they deserve. Your benevolent decision to foster unquestionably determines whether a loving dog gets to live or die.
3. Donate! Safeguarding these Gentle Giants result in expenses that are in upwards $8/day. If veterinary care is needed, the costs exponentiate to $1,000+ for a single dog. Every penny you donate makes an impact when it comes to vet bills! If you were to make a one-time donation of just $25, you would be adding 3 more valuable days to the life of every rescued dog and provide the chance to find the home they have been waiting for their entire life.

As always, all donations are gratefully accepted.

If you are interested in adopting this dog or need further information, please contact GPRS at or fill out our SHORT application form.

Every dog adopted thru the GPRS program is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered and on heartworm preventative.
