The reason for the trauma is unknown - he is extremely thin, was covered in fleas and had multiple wounds from dragging his legs. Luckily, we have fosters willing to take the time to work with him, get his to the vet for acupuncture and laser therapy and anything else he needs. He is making progress, slowly but surely, and as of 2/28/17 weighs 42lbs which just were we need to keep him. It was a long time from November 2016 to February 2017 to get a good weight on him! He is doing Physical Therapy with a Vet and he is also getting PT with the Fosters. He does seem to enjoy his home PT...not quite as much with the Vet! Rowdy has a long road ahead of him but on the way he will be spoiled with special food, special treatments and lots of love. We can't wait to see how far we can bring him along. Because the injuries are so severe, Rowdy may need a cart for the rest of his life- however, he is young and hopefully, will learn to manage. Follow Rowdy's progress on our Face Book page!!
