Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.
Mission It is our mission to help reduce the homeless pet population in the South Bend area. You can help by fostering an animal, donating your time or money, or adopting a new family member.

We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.

We hold adoption events on select weekends at Petsmart in South Bend and Mishawaka. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. You can see our full calendar of events on facebook or email email@example.com.
Our Adoption Process...
All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.
Adoption Fees: Puppies (under 1 year) $225 Adult Dogs $200 Senior Dogs (over 7 years) $100 Cats $110 Rabbits $50 (includes alter and microchip) Ferrets $125/pair; $75/single Guinea Pigs $25 Rats $10 Hamsters $10 Gerbils $10 Degus $20 Hedgehogs $75 Chinchillas $100 Birds - adoption fee varies with species Occasionally we get in other animals too!
