Bridget is a unique and strikingly beautiful calico/tortoiseshell kitty. She''s a very young 1 year old cat who loves to play and is very social with other cats and even cat-friendly dogs though she does take some time to warm up to them. She craves attention and will follow her person around almost like a puppy, except with very cat-like curvings and windings through legs and lots of affectionate head-butts for chin scratches and back rubs. She is a companion cat, she wants to be where you are but she is also trademark calico-cat independent and doesn''t spend a lot of time snuggling in laps.
This sweet girl showed up at the shelter very scared, barely a year old, and with 4 tiny, sick, fluff-ball kittens. She was frightened and having trouble caring for her babies until she landed in a foster home where she had a room to herself to raise them and plenty of help getting them over their illness. Even though she was almost still a kitten herself and was overwhelmed with the care of her kittens at first, she settled down very quickly and fell to the task of nursing and grooming her babies with a tenderness that was touching to see.
Bridget''s kittens (Fergus and Guinness!) are now healthy and old enough to find forever homes of their own, so we''d like to find Bridget a home where she can be the affectionate, carefree and playful almost kitten she didn''t get to be.
Bridget is currently in foster care, so if you''d like to meet her please call us with her ID number A073173. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations, her adoption fee is $50.
