Charlie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Charlie's Story...
Charlie is one of Rosa’s puppies, he’s a 4-5 month old Chihuahua mix (possibly some pug) and brought into Mending Hearts foster care from CACC on 10/13/16. He weighs in at 7 lbs 6 oz, he has been neutered, microchipped and is UTD on shots. Charlie is like the middle-child, a little mischievous but shy when away from his 2 brothers. He’s good with other dogs, not sure about cats. Because he’s such a little dog, we would prefer a home with older children and adults. Charlie is a puppy so he will need a family who has time to work with him on house training, he goes potty outside but will need positive reinforcement and training at his new home

**If interested please fill out an application on our website www.mendingheartsrescue.org and we can set up a time to meet them, as we are a foster based rescue**

**adoptions fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm check for dogs, FeLV test for cats, and flea/heartworm prevention**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Rockford Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Rockford, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Rockford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockford paves the way for another one to be saved.
