Huey Dewey & Louie's Story...
**IN FOSTER CARE 10/31/2016** ... These adorable little boys (Huey Dewey & Louie) arrived at the HSOV on October 22-23, 2016 after they were found on County House Lane close to our shelter. They were estimated to be 6-weeeks old at that time. "Huey" has a white-and-gray tabby coat and weighs 1.6 lbs. "Dewey" has a white-and-charcoal coat and weighs 1.6 lbs. "Louie" has a buff-colored coat and weighs 1.4 lbs. They are playful, lovable babies with sweet kitten personalities. This little 'band of brothers" are sharing a cage and dearly love each other. Naturally we'd love to see them remain together. "Huey Dewey & Louie" will be available for adoption when they are old enough to be neutered. They would be available for foster/rescue at any time. Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huey Dewey & Louie, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
