Hi - I'm George, an approximately 5 year old collie/lab (and possibly other breeds) mix.  I weight 65 pounds right now, but I need to lose 10-15 pounds to hit my ideal weight.  I love people, dogs and kids.  I haven't been around cats yet, but I could be cat tested if interested.  I know how to sit for attention and am getting more comfortable each day on the gentle leader.  I'm crate trained and house trained.  I enjoy my crate and often will go in it on my own for a rest.  I'm extremely loving and will return all the love you give me ten times over!  I have a fair amount of energy so I'd like a family that would include me in their adventures.

About Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered companion animals. We are a small, volunteer run organization. All of our animals are housed in foster homes waiting to be adopted. We do not have a physical shelter. Please visit our website at wagsmn.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All animals are available to meet by appointment arranged with the foster.
Please come see us at Petsmart on the 2nd Saturday of each month in Eagan (Petsmart 1297 Promenade Pl, Eagan, MN 55121); 4th Saturday of each month in Richfield (Petsmart 1100 W 78th St, Richfield, MN 55423); and the 3rd Sunday of each month in Maple Grove (Petsmart 11200 Fountains Way Maple Grove, MN 55369). We will have many adoptable dogs, puppies, and maybe a kitten or two that are able to attend for public viewing... please stop in and play! If you are interested in a specific dog or cat from viewing our available animals at wagsmn.org, please email us in advance of an adoption event (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com), and we will do our best to have them at the event.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes adoption application which can be completed at our website wagsmn.org. Current fees can also be accessed on our website. After reviewing your application, a meeting is scheduled between you and the pet in the foster’s home or a neutral dog friendly place. If there are any resident dogs in your home, it is required that the dogs meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit is scheduled and, if everything goes well with the visit, the adoption is finalized. A home visit by one of our representatives is required prior to finalizing any adoption, and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason Adoption fee includes: vet exam(s), spay/neuter, de-worming, heartworm test (if 6 months of age or older), vaccinations, microchip, and FIV/FeLv testing (for cats only). Email is the best way to get a fast response (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com).
