Red is a handsome redbone mix.  He is around two years old, 55 lbs., and loves to play.  He usually has a toy hanging out of his mouth and loves to play fetch. He will be a wonderful addition to any family without cats.  The boy likes to chase them too much.  He will also clear your yard and house of any varmits.  If he goes into his intense hunting mode, you can bet there is something there.  Red MUST HAVE a fenced in yard and a dog door or someone home most of the time.  He would love a canine pal.  Kids would be a plus.  Sharing your bed with him would be a huge plus.  He loves to cuddle.  A jogger or hiker in the family would be a bonus.

Red is housetrained, and crate trained.  He loves to ride in the car and is good on the leash, most of the time.  He comes with a no-pull leash.  He is up-to-date on shots, neutered, and on heartworm and flea preventive.

If you would like to meet Mr. Red, please contact Judy at 865-300-8146 or judy@almosthometn.org.  The application is online at www.almosthometn.org.  Adoption fee is $135.

About ALMOST HOME Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Almost Home strives for innovative ways to rescue and place animals into loving environments. We are an organization that consists of volunteers with varied interests and experiences, all working towards the betterment of animals. By working within our own group, assisting and educating the public on spaying & neutering, and working with other rescues and sanctuaries, we will see a significant change in the perception and treatment of all animals.

Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation. We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve. Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Each animal is in the care of a foster home or a rescue. Please contact that particular foster or rescue for complete adoption information.

Our Adoption Process...

Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home animals are healthy, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventitive (if dog,) and flea & tick preventitive.

If you would like to adopt a pet from Almost Home, start by completing our application, which is available online at www.almosthometn.org. Our adoption process includes reference checks, a home visit, a one week trial period, and a contract. Our goal is to find the best fit for our animals, and for their new families.

ADOPTION FEES:

The adoption fee for a CAT is $65, or two for $125. KITTENS are $75, or two for $140. The adoption fee for kittens includes the cost of spaying/neutering and their rabies shot when they are old enough (usually five months).

The adoption fee for a DOG is $135, or two for $220. PUPPIES are $150, or two for $250. The adoption fee for puppies includes the cost of spaying/neutering and their rabies shot when they are old enough (usually five months).

The adoption of more animals, or a different combination of animals, are welcome and fees will be reduced.

Micro-chipped cats and dogs are an additional $15.

NOTE: Some cats and dogs have a different fee than those listed above. It is noted on their posting. Mature pet adoption fees are lower to encourage people to adopt these wonderful animals who have a lot of love to give. The adoption fee for pure bred or desirable mixed breed dogs and cats is based on the average fee charged by area rescues and/or breed specific rescues.

ADOPTION FEES COVER LESS THAN 75% OF THE COST OF VETTING OUR ANIMALS. WE RELY ON DONATIONS AND GRANTS TO COVER THE REMAINDER.
