Hello, My name is Dexter. I'm a shy guy who's really coming out of his shell. I'll always be a bit wary of strangers but once I'm comfortable with them it seems that we're good to go. I could really benefit from a quieter loving family or individual. A laid back dog if you have one would be a great companion for me too only you must feed me away from the other dog. My meals used to be stolen away from me so now I've become very guarded of mine so my foster family ONLY feeds me in my crate while covered with a sheet. I'm very shy at first upon meeting people but once I warm up I just love to be with you. My favorite game is tug of war with a rope toy. I'm cat friendly too. Older considerate kids (Over 15 ) would be considered for me but No young ones as I'm too nervous with the commotion. I'm learning so much in my foster home with my 5 pack mates. I'm really bonded with my other foster brother, Beckham. He's a chill guy - boston terrier mix who is laid back too.... but fun. I now play great with all 5 of my foster brothers - my new favorite game is when the little hound dog mix chases me around and around the yard.
P.S. - - If you are into camping / camp grounds I am NOT the dog for that.... I cannot handle that much activity but if you're into a quieter life style, I would love to meet you.
Please say hello to Dexter! Dexter is coming back to Mostly Muttz Rescue after 3 years of being with his adoptive home (he used to be known as Norris). Dexter is a shy guy and needs a calm and confident owner to help him overcome his own fear and anxiety. He would do best with a confident furry playmate. We'll continue to update you on Dexter as we learn more about him.
