Maggie's Story...
What is black and white and wiggly all over?! It's the happiest of happy dogs, OMD adoptable girl, Maggie! Miss Maggie loves long walks, hiking and loves playing fetch, so we think Maggie would do best in a more active home. Maggie has a ton of playful energy, but once exercised appropriately, enjoys laying with a good bone and doling out plenty of smoochies! We think one of Maggie's most endearing qualities is her one up, one down ear! (A little known secret is that you can get them both to stand if you tell her she is a really good girl!!) Maggie is a 45 pound five month old German Shepherd/ Border Collie mix, who is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Maggie is crate trained and house trained, but may have the occasional accident as she continues to learn and adjust to a new environment! She would do wonderful with a playful doggie pal, and currently lives with a cat who finds her endless enthusiasm less than amusing. If you are interested in being considered to adopt Maggie, please fill out an application on our website OMDrescue.org today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Bristol Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Bristol, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie puppy from a breeder in Bristol.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bristol already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bristol breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bristol paves the way for another one to be saved.
