Sarah's Story...
Sarah is an approximately one year old calico with medium length hair. She had a litter of beautiful kittens while in foster care, and she was a wonderful mother to them. The babies are now weaned, and Sarah is now spayed and looking for her forever home. She is a little shy of new people at first, but she quickly makes friends with those who give her affection (and treats.) For more information please call Wilkes Veterinary Hospital at 336-667-1109

The adoption fee is $70 which covers all the vet work that has been done including Feline Leukemia and FIV Test, microchip, plus for kittens their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a North Wilkesboro Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
