Kestrel came to us very ill and has had a long battle against a very nasty lingering virus. Throughout it all she has been stoic - taking pills, liquid meds, topicals, yuck! She is very opinionated and also very sweet, but she definitely knows her own mind. She was a littermate of Velvet, who has already been adopted. Kestrel does love to play so would enjoy being with another young cat or family of kids. Her ear hairs are fantastical and so cute. Kestrel has been spayed, is up to date on her shots, microchipped and negative for FeLV and FIV. An application, safety home check, landlord approval if renting, and adoption fee of $80 is required. We required a pledge to keep Kestrel indoors only. Discount to seniors, military/veterans, proof of disability, and adoption of multiples.
We rescue animals from high kill shelters or abandoned local strays and foster them until they find an adoptive home. Our southern branch also goes out on emergency rescue calls for cats in drain and sewer pipes, up trees, stuck in walls etc. Transport in available up and down the state of CA. We also TNR local stray and feral populations. The plight of homeless animals moves us deeply. It is unspeakably horrific to see gentle loving animals killed simply because they are homeless. While we cannot save them all, each one saved deserves it. We are a 501c3 registered, CA non-profit corporation.
