Howie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Howie's Story...
Howie is a 3 year old, 7 pound bundle of sweetness!! This little guy was rescued from a high-kill shelter after being removed from a small puppy mill in Tennessee. He loves people, cats, dogs, and chickens. He loves to play and cuddle with his foster human but definitely prefers women over men. Howie does well left out in the house, prefers to sleep in his "dog cave" at night, and rides well in a car. He is a spunky little guy who would make a great couch buddy for a single woman or a quieter home. If you are interested in adding Howie to your family, go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. Howie is being fostered in west TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howie, a Southington Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Southington, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
