Clyde's Story...
Clyde has just entered the TGPR program as a foster. Very shy at first he has now decided that he is a people dog. We estimate Clyde to be approximately 5 months old. He must have been wandering for some time before the SPCA found him as he is very underweight and didn't understand that dogs are supposed to eat dog food. He doesn't appear to have been around other dogs, he was frightened of the his fosterlings. He is adapting, although he prefers to be with people not the other dogs. He has shown no aggression to other dogs or food aggression. Clyde and foster mom working are the house training, he has not mastered the art yet, but he has only been in forster care a few days. He is sweet and very affectionate. He is fully vetted and just waiting for his own family to take him in and love him.

If you are interested in giving Clyde a new home, please contact TGPR or complete an adoption form found at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Kyle Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Kyle, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Kyle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kyle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kyle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kyle paves the way for another one to be saved.
