Karaka, a dainty orange & white youngster approx 5 months old (b'day is 6/22/16); along with her sisters Calypso and Monet, were brought in from living outdoors in the Forest Park area. Their mom is feral and the people who brought them indoors didn't want them destined to live a life of battling the elements, starvation and having nowhere to call home.
Karaka gets her name from the orange berries of a tree in New Zealand. (She was originally assumed to be a male and was first called Marmaduke!) She is a timid little blossom, and easily scared, but once she gets to know you, she warms up & becomes more affectionate, enjoying being held & petted; and loves to play - her favorite is a feather wand toy; she can get quite ferocious going after it! She isn't that fond of other cats she doesn't know, but she likes the dogs at her foster home and is ready for her own forever home! She needs a tranquil environment without too many other animals or children & would love to have one of her sisters join her, or be adopted into a home with other cats who love kitties!
Karaka is spayed, combo tested for Felv/FIV and is negative, microchipped, vaccinated and parasite free! Her adoption fee is $70, or adopt two for $100!
