My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As soon as Charlotte was taken out of the shelter and into a home, she completely came out of her shell. She is a happy-go-lucky dog that gets compliments wherever she goes. She seems to be cautious when first going somewhere new, but once she sees it's a safe, fun place, that personality comes out and she's the star of the show. She loves attention from humans and dogs alike. As soon as the leash comes off at the dog park, she is in play mode, and all the dogs there seem to pick up on that and the whole crowd gets energized. She has a heart of gold and is eager to please.

Charlotte is a big cuddle bug who loves to give kisses and get love wherever she can. She needs owners who will love her but also give her consistent, solid training. She catches on to the rules of the house very quickly. She also learns new things extremely fast. We're working on crate training, and that's where she sleeps right now with no problems and is good about going into it on her own when you tell her "crate".

She is good with her recall, mainly because she loves her people and does not want to be far from them. She has been taught to "sit" and "wait" before her food is put in her bowl and then on the ground and she'll "wait" until you tell her it's ok to eat up. Another thing she's a star at is being courteous when you open the door and not rushing past, just politely waiting until you tell her to come along. Also, she was really good on leash when taken out for a run. She has plenty to learn but teaching her will be a snap. She is a fabulous dog that settles down when you do and gets excited when you do. She is a loyal dog that bonds quickly and deeply and would love having a family that will take her out for a hike, run, or to the park to play with other dogs regularly. She is super sweet and obviously good with children as well. Not only all this, but she is gorgeous!
