Tempe's Story...
Tempe, a 5 yr old, 7 lb Chihuahua is the combination of love, energy and independence. She is a super sweet girl who loves to greet you at the door and come to you frequently for pets and cuddles. Her favorite thing to do is to take long walks. She is a perfect walking companion. If you want to lose a few pounds she can walk them off for you. She loves to greet and say hello to everybody as she is walking. She is super friendly. She is also very independent and can play with toys and sleep in her bed by herself. If it's a day that a long walk will not work, she is still perfectly content to be in the house. As social as she is, she would probably get along with children just fine. She greets them on the street and allows them to pet her. She would be an amazing addition to any family. If you have room in your heart and your home, please fill out an application found at www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call so you can meet this sweet little girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tempe, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
