Lucy's Story...
Saffron was the type dog that followed you, with his eyes and, then, with his body when he could get near you. He's a dog that is intent on his human and does what he can to please. He's a grateful dog........but, sadly he's also a neglected dog.

Tested positive for heart worm Saffron required treatment. This has been done and he's also been neutered, brought current on all vaccines and microchipped. He is medium sized and quite friendly with everyone.

Hound lovers, this boy is a real keeper and will make a wonderful family pet. Consider him if you're a hound lover. This breed is known to be loyal stedfast family companions and are typically excellent with children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Mount Holly Hound (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Mount Holly, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mount Holly.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Holly already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Holly breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Holly paves the way for another one to be saved.
