Spartacus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Spartacus's Story...
Hi, I'm Spartacus! I am a medium black lab mix that is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash. That's right, I am take-home ready! I am laid back, love to play but most of all, love to cuddle.

I a good with other dogs so I can join your family as an only dog or as a great addition to your current dog pack. I love kids so if your family includes kids, that's great, too!

I am great with my crate and can be crated when you go to work or leave for a period of time. I love my crate SOOO much, I can kind of be over-protective of it. Nothing bad, just some growling.

I am actually extremely laid back - my foster compares me to Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh (whoever that is). That being said, while I do like to play at times, I am a pretty low energy dog. I would prefer to spend my time with my owners - snuggling and sleeping.

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on Barktown Dog Rescue and Sanctuary's website: http://www.barktowndogrescue.org/adoption-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spartacus, a Jasper Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Jasper, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jasper.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jasper already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jasper breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jasper paves the way for another one to be saved.
