Shadow's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a sweet 11 yr old female mini aussie. Shadow loves to lounge in her yard during the day and snuggle with her family at night. Shadow is looking for an adult home, preferably one who can spend lots of time with her. Shadow like to test fences and gates. She requires a securely fenced yard or could be leash-walked for exercise/potty breaks. Shadow does not need to be crated while her people are away due to her lovely house manners. This mature girl has a lot left to give her family. We are looking for just the right forever home for Shadow.
Her adoption fee is $300 plus mn tax
If you meet her requirements, you may find an application to adopt at http://www.aussierescuemn.org/application.html.
We do not set up meetings with dogs until applications have been approved.
If you have a specific question not covered in her bio, email fosters@aussierescuemn.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Minneapolis Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
