Trixie's Story...
Trixie was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. Her body was mangled due to being hit by a car almost 4-6 weeks prior to being discovered. She mostly walked on her front legs and used her hind legs for balancing. She was a trooper! She never let her injuries get in her way or let it stop her from living her life! When her time was up at the shelter, Saved by the Heart stepped in to save her and give her the surgeries she needed. After a round of intense surgeries, she now has full mobility of her bag legs! She gets around just like her foster brothers and sisters! Her foster home has small children, cats, and other dogs. She loves them all very much! Trixie is ready to find her furever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Greer Retriever (Unknown Type)/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Greer, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Greer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greer paves the way for another one to be saved.
