George - The Classic Collection -  Yellow Labrador Age 11,  (UPDATE) Gracie has been adopted and George is still looking for his home!

We're back!  Thank You to all of the friends and supporters of the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno!  Thanks to your prayers and generous support, Gracie and I survived 'pneumonia.'  In fact, we are so good and healthy we are ready to kick up our paws and audition for the most important role of a life-time - your precious loved ones! We have been together so long, we are a package deal. Who ever heard of a George Burns without his love Gracie Allen by his side?  But our hearts have room to spare to add our perfect family!  Won't you be the 'Gold' in our remaining years before we enter Heaven?

Now, George - you aren't as young as you think you are!  You gave me quite the scare.   If it wasn't for all of your generous prayers, I am sure George would have crossed that rainbow bridge, only distant memories from a past long forgotten to guide him.  And I know I would have been right behind him, my dear George, as he has been the one constant in my life, my only source of kindness.   No dog should have to cross that bridge without a loving human hand to hold before they go!  But George, I grow maudlin.   Tell them instead the value of a senior friend and why we would be the perfect addition to their family!

Yes Gracie! Well, as our Beloved Friends of the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno will tell you - Gracie and I are like fine wine - we have gotten better with age.  We know the ropes, we are well past needing any training.  Chewing you things? Inconceivable.  But love? Oh, we know its value.  Every minute you spend with us the most precious gift on earth.  Our eyes might not be so young and our ears not as sensitive - but they know you and to us you are the most beautiful sight and sound outside of Heaven. We will spend every minute of every day making our family our priority.  Please, adopt us, love us, and when our time on Earth comes to an end, hold our paw - until the day we can be together again.

Psst... George here.  Between you and me, my faithful friend and follower of the Defenders of Dogs, I  have a special favor to ask on behalf of my Gracie, my rock, my love, my faithful companion.  You see, she is a bit younger than I, with more years left on Earth than me.  Please.  I have yet to meet such a loyal friend - and I need to know she will be loved and taken care of when I go.  Please, will you hold her paw when I am gone?  Let her know she isn't alone, give her the purpose all dogs need - let her be part of your family?

George are Gracie are a bonded pair that LRRF could not bring ourselves to part so we hope to adopt them together.  Love and Loyalty like theirs is precious and rare.  They are a no assembly required, ready to go pair of dogs that just need love and a soft bed to ensure their golden years are golden.  Remember, there is nothing like the love of an old dog.  If you would like to adopt this sweet pair, please fill out an application at: www.labrescuefresno.org/.      Be sure and ask for George and Gracie Allen!
