Facts about Bubbe

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Bubbe is a handsome, large male brown tabby who is an absolute cuddle bug. He is approximately four years old and weighs upwards of 15 pounds (this is after a diet!). He absolutely loves people! He does not care if he has known you forever or just met you, he wants love. He drools a bit when he is extremely happy, which is very cute! He is just the happiest cat!

Bubbe does amazing with young children. If he gets overwhelmed or spooked, he will hide. He has never scratched or bit, even with children carrying him around in the oddest of ways. He is okay with cats and understands his place on territory. He will not attack other cats, but will stand his ground if he is attacked. I believe with some patience and proper introduction, he would become best friends with another cat. As for dogs, he has only met one who completely ignored him, but he was on guard. He stayed on top of the couch just staring at the dog for an hour.

Bubbe is up to date on shots, altered, and healthy. He did have crystal issues, so we have him on urinary tract formula food (store bought, not prescription) and we have had no issues since. He does not eat a lot, either. For as big as he is, you'd expect him to chow down constantly but that is not the case. We can put a large bowl of food down for him and he'll snack on it as he is hungry.

Bubbe's adoption fee is $40.

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Adoption Process...

All of our adoptable animals are in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Therefore, a potential adopter will need to set up an appointment to meet the animal they are interested in. Appointments are usually very flexible, depending on which foster home they are in. We recommend doing a pre-adoption meeting prior to meeting the adoptable animal, which can happen by phone or by email. By doing this before meeting the adoptable animal, the potential adopter can take the animal home on the same day if everything goes well (with some exceptions). We have an adoption contract that must be signed prior to the adopter taking the animal home, and the fee must be paid. We will hold adoptable animals for an adopter if everything went well for up to 14 days with a deposit of half of the adoption fee.

Adoption Fees are as follows:

Kitten (Under 1 Year): $65
Cat (Over 1 Year): $40
Puppy (Under 1 Year): $150
Adult (Over 1 Year): $100
Other Species: Subject to change depending on what species and what veterinary care is needed.
