Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trixie is a one-two year old border collie mix. Her coat is beautiful, black with bright white and soft, soft, soft. She is just a sweetheart. VERY Smart. Sits for treats. Great off leash and loves to go for car rides. VERY athletic. She can catch anything in mid-air, super friendly, the little cropped tail does not stop wagging.
This is a smart, Smart, SMART dog.
Trixie weighs 27 lbs and is the perfect size.
She was surrendered to our rescue along with her best friend, Sassy, who is also available for adoption.
Their family lost their home because of health issues.
Trixie is in a foster home with other dogs and gets along with everyone. She is so playful. Loves children and has been raised around cats. She is completely house trained. She can roam the 15 acre farm where she is fostered and always stays right with her person.
She has had a recent heart worm test and is heart worm negative.
If you are interested in giving Trixie a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you.
Trixie''s adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover her spaying, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), vet examination, heart worm test, flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention, certificate of health and transportation.
Trixie is fostered in Tennessee. She will travel to her new home once she has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to Illinois, Wisconsin.
Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
