Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rocky! Rocky is a male. 15lb, 5 year old Shih Tzu mix. He loves being around other dogs (he used to live with another dog who passed before he lost his home) and is great with kids and all other dogs. Rocky loves to go on walks and is pretty much house trained (he has some accidents when adapting to a new home and routine). While Rocky is a healthy boy, he is a little hard of sight (not blind though). Because of his eyes he simply needs eye drops every day. His eyesight will get better but without eye drops he could go blind. He has cronic dry eye and gets Cyclosporine 2x daily and he takes it like a champ. After meeting Rocky we can say needing eye drops is a small price to pay for such an incredible little dog. Rocky LOVES to snuggle (and sit on the laps of children for scratches). He also loves belly rubs and nuzzling into people to make them pet him more. He also does the most adorable thing where he stands on his hind legs and waves his front paws in the air. He really is the cutest.

**Please note that our dogs may be located in foster homes around NJ and the NYC area. It would be a great help to us if you can pick up your dog from transport, which is centrally located from Northern NJ and NYC, or foster home.**
**PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN YOUR INQUIRY** We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them. Please do not submit an inquiry if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process.
Our adoption fee is $475. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses.
All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where it is kept for a minimum of 2 weeks for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. After the 2 week quarantine time they are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. They are then placed on the website. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested in it, we make arrangements with the waiting foster to pick the animal up from the airport to then meet with the potential adopter. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
